PMI's Project Management Professional (PMP) is recommended for practitioners seeking a mastery level of project management certification. The certification requirements and process are defined and administered by PMI.
Audience
Managers and above who have significant experience as a project manager, who expect to lead larger teams in the near future, and who expect to use project management as a cornerstone in their career development.
How to Get Certified
PMI requires individuals to achieve 4,500 experience hours of related project management work and 35 education hours in related project management topics from a source recognized by PMI, and to complete the PMP exam. Deloitte recommends that you achieve the education hours by using the courses identified in the PMP Learning Path on the roadmap in the PM Knowledge Center.
Additional information about the PMP certification process can be found on the PMI website at www.pmi.org.
Specialized Diagnostic and TestPrep Tools
When you are getting started, you can use the Mastery PM Skill Diagnostic TestPrep (PMP) or Mastery PM Skill Diagnostic TestPrep Report (PMP) to diagnose your project management skill levels.
This tool helps you identify your areas of strength and your areas for development and provides easy access to the learning materials you need.
When you are ready to take the certification exam, this tool also helps prepare you for the exam by simulating the exam environment.
